About Us

Claire and Dan are experienced campervanners, having owned their current VW California for eight years, and toured Australia in a temporary home on wheels before that. Together with their two boys, they lead an active outdoor lifestyle enjoying swimming, surfing, paddle boarding and hiking, and are willing to try (almost) anything once. They travel the UK and Europe during weekends and holidays, and can offer inspiring insights into family campervan adventures, and love a good festival! We have built up a trusted and engaged following over a number of years, and we love to share our favourite locations for action packed holidays, and any tips and tricks that make van life with kids that little bit easier.

Claire is a Swim England Qualified swimming teacher, and her greatest sporting achievement was completing the Chillswim Triple Crown in 2025, swimming the lengths of Coniston (5.25 miles), Ullswater (7.5 miles) and Windermere (11 miles) within one season. Dan is a gym enthusiast and keen surfer.

Claire holds a PhD in Pharmaceutics, with an extensive publication record and is an experienced public speaker. She has experience in brand communications from her role at a multinational Pharmaceutical Company, and now manages social media and corporate communications for her current employer (as an aside to the actual science she gets paid for!). Claire’s round the world travel blog was repeatedly named Editor’s Pick, and she has been a paid contributor to Cheshire Life Magazine.
